Read before you leap
QR codes are opaque by design: you cannot see where one leads until it is too late. Parking-meter stickers and fake payment codes exploit exactly that. This reader shows the raw content without acting on it, so the decision to open stays yours.
The proof-of-print habit
Print shops rasterise, resize and recolour artwork. A code that was fine on screen can come back with a shaved quiet zone or muddy contrast. Photograph the printer's proof, drop it here, and check two things: it decodes at all, and it decodes to exactly the content you intended. Thirty seconds, and it has saved whole print runs.
What this reader is not
It is not a live camera scanner — your phone's camera app already does that well. It reads still images, which is the part phones do badly: screenshots someone sent you, photos of posters, artwork proofs, downloads.
