GENERATEQR

Phone-call QR code generator

The smallest, toughest QR payload there is: scan, and the dialer opens with your number ready. Because the content is tiny, the code stays scannable at sizes where other codes give up — 18 mm tags, helmet stickers, equipment plates, "in case of emergency" labels.

International format. Spaces, brackets and dashes are stripped automatically.

Built for abuse

A tel: code is usually version 1–2 (21–25 modules). At 18 mm the modules are still ~0.6 mm — printable on a home label printer and scannable scuffed. Pair it with error correction H in the studio and a third of the code can be scratched off before it fails. This is the right type for anything that lives outdoors or on a keychain.

Where it beats a vCard

A vCard saves a contact; a phone code starts a call. For emergency and service use ("machine broken? call us", a dog tag, a lone-worker badge) you want the call, not a contacts entry. It is also a tenth of the data, which means a far tougher code at the same size.

Error correction H, colours, or a sheet of asset tags?
