Plain language, because there is little to regulate: this is a free tool that runs on your device.

The service
GenerateQR creates static QR codes and decodes QR images entirely in your browser, free of charge, with no account. Because the codes are static, they contain your content directly and do not depend on this site continuing to exist. Codes you create are yours; we claim no rights over them and embed no identifiers in them.
Your responsibilities
- Verify a code before committing to a print run. The Scan Safety panel and the reader exist for exactly that; a quick real-phone test is still the final word.
- Encode only content you have the right to share. A printed Wi-Fi code contains the password; place it accordingly.
- Do not use the tool to create codes that mislead people about where they lead.
No warranty
The tool is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We work hard on correctness (the encoder is verified against an independent decoder across hundreds of cases), but we cannot control your printer, your scanner or your placement, and we accept no liability for losses arising from a code that fails to scan or from content you encoded. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Commercial disclosure
The site carries no advertising and no sponsorship. It does carry two affiliate
links, both to WP Engine, on the pages about QR destinations
(URL QR codes and do QR codes
expire?). Each is labelled "Partner link" at the link itself and carries
rel="sponsored". If you subscribe through one, WP Engine may pay us a
commission; your price is the same either way.
The rules we hold ourselves to: the payment buys no influence over what is written, and
the free route is stated first every time; no affiliate link appears in the generator, the
reader, the scan-safety check or the print bench, and none can affect a code, a verdict or a
download; the tool stays free, complete and unwatermarked whether or not you ever click one.
A page tag (subid) is appended so we can tell which page a click came from, and
it says nothing about you. If this arrangement changes, this page and the
privacy page are updated the same day, as promised.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes belong to the courts of Vilnius, Lithuania, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
