Wi-Fi QR code generator
Print one code and nobody asks for the Wi-Fi password again: guests point their camera, the phone offers to join, done. Both iOS (11+) and Android (10+) read Wi-Fi codes natively — no app required.
Your password never leaves this page. The encoder is JavaScript running on your device; nothing is uploaded, logged or stored. And because the code is static, it can never expire behind a subscription.
Type the SSID exactly as it appears in your router — capitalisation counts.
What actually gets encoded
The code carries a single line in the de-facto standard format phones understand:
WIFI:T:WPA;S:YourNetwork;P:YourPassword;;
Special characters in your SSID or password (; , :
\ ") are escaped automatically — a common failure in careless
generators that this studio handles correctly.
Getting the print right
- Table tents and frames: 40 mm wide scans comfortably from a seated position. Use the Print lab to export a PDF at exact size.
- Behind glass or laminated: matte lamination beats glossy — reflections are a top cause of failed scans.
- Error correction Q is the default here: café tables get wiped, spilled on and scratched, and level Q shrugs off 25% damage.
- Add a caption — "Scan to join our Wi-Fi" — because a naked code gets fewer scans.
When you change the password
A static code encodes the credentials directly, so a password change means printing a new code. That is the honest trade-off against "dynamic" services — theirs can be edited later, but they charge monthly and the code dies with the subscription. For a home, an office or a café that changes its password once a year, static wins on every axis.
